More flexibility: Vontobel extends trading hours for structured products!
The Swiss stock exchange SIX Swiss Exchange is adapting its offering to global market needs and introducing a new trading segment for structured products as of December 1, 2025. Vontobel is using this modernization to offer investors greater flexibility.
Trade when it suits you: The new times at a glance
In response to growing demand and investors' need for longer trading windows, Vontobel has decided to list in the new segment.
From December 1, 2025, you will benefit from significantly longer trading windows:
| Segment | Previous trading hours | New: extended trading hours |
| Times (CET) | 09:15 - 17:15 | 08:00 - 21:45 |
Almost the entire Vontobel product range will be tradable in this new segment (exception: AMCs).
Your advantage: More time for your investment decisions
This meets the modern need for more liquid trading hours and offers you maximum freedom of action when investing in structured products.
On markets.vontobel.com you can find the trading time of your product in the Quote Box on the product detail page at any time.
Practical example: Barrier Reverse Convertible on Nvidia Corp.
Assume a client holds a Barrier Reverse Convertible (BRC) on the US share Nvidia Corp. Under the rules of the old trading segment, the BRC was tradable on SIX from 09:15 to 17:15 (CET). As the underlying security, Nvidia Corp., is a US share, the trading hours of the product and the underlying security differed considerably. Trading in the underlying began with the US opening at 15:30 (CET) and ended with the US closing at 22:00 (CET). This resulted in a time gap in the late afternoon from 17:15 to 22:00 (CET), during which the product was not tradable on SIX, but the underlying was tradable on the US exchange. The introduction of and participation in the new trading segment will close this gap almost completely. On the new segment, the same BRC on Nvidia Corp. would be tradable from 08:00 - 21:45 (CET) and thus also during US trading hours.
