Brent Crude Oil reached the highest level since April 2017. Gold plunged at the same time.
Oil
European Brent Crude Oil trades above 55 USD per barrel at the weekly opening and is thereby at the highest price since April 2017. At the same time, North American WTI Crude Oil stays above the 50 USD per barrel level. According to experts the latest surge in prices is overstated.
Gold
Gold trades at a new two and a half week low at 1,315 USD per troy ounce at the weekly opening. Gold had a rough ride due to the surge in equities and less risk aversion of investors.
Copper
Copper prices plunged last week and slipped below the level of 6,500 USD per ton due to weak Chinese and US industrial data.
