Protecting the world's climate and addressing the problem of global energy supply are serious challenges of our time. Climate change calls for an energy revolution and thus a shift away from fossil fuels. For the sake of the environment and in order to achieve the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, greater focus is to be placed on renewable energy sources. As a result, significant investments are expected in the field of alternative energy sources such as wind, water, solar and hydrogen. It is estimated that the market for renewable energy will reach about 1.1 trillion US dollars by 2027. By comparison, this amount was around 600 billion US dollars in 2020.
